1971
PPVC opens
Pikes Peak Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1971 by Drs. Larry and Sue Wiseman.
1980s
Dr. Fowler buys PPVC
In the early 1980s, Dr. Jeff Fowler joined the Wisemans and later purchased the practice from them. Sue Wiseman still brings her pets to see us.
1999
Dr. Marsden takes the lead
Dr. Melanie Marsden joined Dr. Fowler and eventually purchased PPVC when he retired. Dr. Fowler is still a regular face around our clinic and has come back to help out a few days a week.
2009
New facility
We moved from a two-exam-room building just a few doors away into our current facility with four exam rooms and better equipment.
2022
Expanding the property
We expanded our current location by purchasing the entire building and renovating a new “Quiet Critter Space.” This smaller, quieter area is specifically designed for cats and exotic pets, as well as laser treatments.
PPVC today
Our expanded facility is designed specifically for the comfort of our clients and their pets. We have four exam rooms and one room for larger pets and procedures requiring quiet and space. We have a treatment area, two dental tables, a surgery suite, a radiology room, a pharmacy and a laboratory area. We have comfortable kennels for pets who stay the day. Our isolation ward gives the right amount of comfort and privacy for infectious pets so they are safe and other pets are not exposed. We recently purchased the entire strip mall building, so clients will notice parking lot changes and exterior renovations over the next year.
