Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease – Best Info 2021!
July 7, 2021Brush Strokes, a super fun paint-your-own-pottery studio, has created a t-shirt fundraiser page to help Pikes Peak Vet’s Tolliver’s Angel Fund. The owner has been a friend of our clinic for some time now. Our staff has visited the Brush Strokes studio on E. Fillmore to take a break and do something fun together. You should try it – it’s a blast!
So, when Linda and Dr. Marsden were talking one day, Linda offered to set up a webpage that could take donations to our Tolliver’s Angel Fund, and the idea of the t-shirt fundraiser was born! When you click this link, it takes you to the page where you can buy sweet pet-themed t-shirts, proceeds from which goes to PPVC’s Tolliver’s Angel Fund. You can also just donate if you don’t need another t-shirt.
“What is Tolliver’s Angel Fund?” you ask. Tolliver was a British Shorthair Mix kitty adopted by Dr. Marsden from a Feline Nutrition Research Facility. Tolliver helped raise hundreds of orphaned kittens and never met a dog he didn’t like. He even donated blood on occasion.
Tolliver’s Angel Fund is used to care for the numerous orphaned, stray and abandoned cats, dogs, bunnies and other critters that quite literally end up on our doorstep. There are always orphaned babies who need our assistance, but need has no age limit. Recently we have been caring for several older pets whose owners passed away. We never turn away an animal in need and many times these animals are with us for months and months before they find their new forever home.
One of my favorite stories is about Hercules. The picture below is from right after he was brought to Pikes Peak Vet. He had been living on the streets, but it seemed that he was familiar with living in a home. He was matted and bedraggled, so we gave him a shave and a haircut, made sure he was vaccinated, neutered and healthy and nursed him back to the picture of health. His photo at the top of this post is Hercules in his furever home, looking like the cat that ate the cream. It took us months to get him back into shape so that he was adoptable, but we’re all glad we we can do this work!

The donations provide medical care, food, spay/neuter services and more. Buy a t-shirt or just donate. Tolliver’s Fund is not a 501c3, so donations are not tax-deductible, but greatly appreciated!
